Getting to the Meeting

• Please make your own travel arrangements in accordance with CIFAR's Travel Policy.

• Please book economy flights well in advance for best rates.

• Save your travel related receipts for reimbursement after the meeting (refer to the reimbursements tab for details). 

• For travel VISAs, you may refer to the Entry Requirements by Country/Territory website (opens a webpage from the Government of Canada). 

 

From the Airport

• The closest airport is Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport)

• You may take a taxi from either airport to the hotel. Save your receipts for reimbursement

 

Meals

• Meals will be provided throughout the meeting (Breakfast, Lunch, Breaks).

• A group dinner will be held on Monday November 11, 2019. All participants are invited to attend.

• Self-organized meals (eg. while traveling) will be reimbursed by CIFAR. CIFAR does not offer a per diem. Reimbursement will be made for actual meal expenditures. Please reference CIFAR's travel policy for amounts and information - English / French

 

Combining Travel with Other Business

If you are combining travel with other business/pleasure, please submit a flight quote, (to the point of booking) for a direct, roundtrip flight, compatible with CBD Program Meeting dates and times.  Submit this quote with your actual ticket; you will be reimbursed for the lower of the 2 fares. NOTE - the quote must be secured the same day as the actual booking.
